Narcissism is one of the buzzwords of our time. And, like any psychology concept co-opted by popular culture, 'narcissism' as a term has become increasingly recognized, yet increasingly misused.
But what if we really understood what it meant, how it impacted our lives, and how we can use that information to improve the health of our relationships?
In this class, we will learn the specifics of narcissistic personality disorder, its effects on interpersonal relationships and society, and how we can lose our taste for toxic people and systems. Among other topics, we will explore:
Traits of narcissistic personality disorder and narcissistic abuse
The social, environmental, and biological factors that contribute to narcissism
Pathological love relationships
Narcissism and patriarchy
Prioritizing safe and secure attachments
Goals for protection and healing
Aside from learning together, we will also have the chance to go inward, with journaling exercises and small group discussions designed to help us reflect on this sensitive topic in our own lives.
This event is for FLINTA* folks only! We offer sliding-scale rates to expand access to those with financial barriers.
